CREC’s Academy of Science and Innovation (ASI) is pleased to announce our Black History Month Celebration, “An Ode to Hip Hop - Celebrating the First 50 Years and Future Hip Hop.” This event will be held on Friday, February 23, 2023, at 600 Slater Road, New Britain, CT, from 8:00 -9:15 a.m.
ASI students will celebrate the Hip Hop culture through poetry, song, rap and dance performances. Over 70 Innovation students from grades 6-12 will be participating in this celebration. Featured esteemed guests include the Hartford based Hip-Hop group, the Bap Pack.
Note: This event is not open to the general public. Only students in the performance may have one parent attend the live MS show only. Please confirm prior by Friday, Feb. 19, 2023, with an email to Mrs. Evelyn De La Cruz.
