Innovation Student Selected for the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall

Juliana C. Childs, a
student at CREC Academy of Science and Innovation has been selected for the
HIGH SCHOOL Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall, NYC. Juliana Childs
will perform in the choir as an Alto singer in February with the Honors Concert
Choir. Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated
young performers from across the world.
Juliana auditioned for the Honors
Performance Series and was recently accepted after a review by the Honors
Selection Board. Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the
talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in their application and audition
recording.
Juliana has studied music for 2 years
and is a member of ASI Show Choir. Juliana takes dance lessons (ballet,
Lyrical, hip hop), plays on her high school soccer, basketball, and track
teams. Juliana played various roles in the Grimms Tales Play this past spring
and played an Angel in the film “The Port” which will debut on Christmas Day
2022. Juliana is a high honors student and is involved with her church youth
group. In response to their selection, Juliana said, “No way, I got
accepted! This is amazing, I’m so happy and honored. I’m in shock and so
excited! Cannot wait to live in NYC for a week and sing with amazing people.
Juliana will join performers from all
over the world for a
special performance at the world-famous Carnegie Hall a venue that marks the
pinnacle of musical achievement. The finalists will come together in New York
City where they will have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned
conductors, work with other performers, and get a taste of Manhattan. The
Honors Performance will take place February 5th, 2023, and is open
to the public. Tickets can be purchased beginning approximately 60 days prior
to the performance through the Carnegie Hall box office.

The Honors Performance Series was
created to showcase accomplished individual student performers on an
international level by allowing them to study under master conductors and
