NEW BRITAIN — The Innovation girls basketball team won the Capitol Region Athletic League Conference Championship last week and the boys basketball team has a chance to do so as well.
The Ravens picked up a presiding 40-point victory as they defeated HMTCA 72-32 on Tuesday, at home, in the second round of the CRAL tournament.
Innovation head coach Matthew Lance said that the team focused on the small details heading into their third matchup this season against HMTCA.
“We were really focused on coming out and doing all of the little things well,” Lance said. “We focused on communication, rotations, and defensive footwork. I thought we did a good job for the most part taking care of those things.”
