Dear ASI Families,

It was great to see and get to meet new families at Open House this past Wednesday!

We have hired a new Assistant Principal, Dr. Antonio Ramos and Mr. Peter Wik will be stepping up to fill the Dean of Students position.  Dr. Ramos has been an Assistant Principal for the past 9 years.  He was a computer science teacher and developed a robotics program that has been implemented in over 20 New York City Schools.   Mr. Peter Wik has been a Science teacher at ASI since the school opened and has taught in both the High School and Middle School.  We are very excited to have Dr. Ramos and Mr. Wik join the administrative Team.

We have a busy week at ASI. Seniors will start to meet with colleges next week and  should be checking Schoology and talking with their counselors to sign up to hear a presentation from colleges. There will be a Financial Aid night on Wednesday, October 2 @ 5pm at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. A financial aid representative will provide an overview of the financial aid process (FAFSA). Seniors and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. This will be held at the Colt Gateway Campus 160-172 Huyshope Ave, Hartford.

Health services has First Choice Dental van scheduled to come to ASI on October 2nd from 8:00am to 1:30pm. Enrollment forms were distributed to students this week, however, there is a Dental van letter and form attached to this Robo call in case you need another copy.
