Dear ASI Families,

This Wednesday is the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. On September 11, 2001, four airplanes were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 innocent people were killed in these attacks. 9/11 remains the deadliest terrorist attack in American history.

Since 2002, September 11th has been observed as Patriot Day. In 2009, President Obama expanded Patriot Day to include a “National Day of Service and Remembrance.”

In honor of the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001, and to celebrate the American spirit, we are inviting all staff and students to wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday (September 11, 2019) and donate $1.

All money collected will be donated to the National 9/11 Memorial Fund.

Thank you for taking the time this week to never forget the victims of 9/11.
